The Translation of Digital Thought

The Book
This is my Royal College of Art graduation project, a research-based book work that began with a simple question: How do media shape the way we think and read?

Focusing on the internet as today’s dominant medium, the project explores how digital environments influence our thought patterns. The book visualizes three key characteristics of “internet thinking”: fragmented flow (Staccato), overlapping information (Overlap), and modular structure (Modular).

Using bookbinding—a slow and tactile process—as the primary method, the work contrasts physical making with the abstract, fast-paced nature of digital cognition. This contrast invites reflection on how we read, think, and process information in the digital age.
